Jeff did a great job on the install of the windows. He really impressed me from the very beginning of the process. One thing that i noted that set him apart from the other quotes that I got was that he was not a "salesman," he was very laid back and easy to talk to about the process. There were no gimmicks or "buy today and we'll take $500 off the price" or any nonsense like that. He simply stated that he hoped that I would chose him and that I wouldn't be dissapointed. During his first visit, he gave me an extremely competitive quote, and a guarantee that I would be happy with the windows. The thing that stood out to me the most was that he came to show the windows, he measured the windows, he ordered the windows, and finally he installed the windows. The fact that he represents his company and does all of the installation lets you know that he wanted to ensure I was happy with the final product. Once the windows were in, I was extremely impressed with the work, the windows work great and the trim work inside and out is very clean and has helped the house look and feel tremendously better. I appreciate the honesty and work ethic that Jeff has, it's the reason that I chose him over competitors, and he stuck true to his word.

Thanks again for the work, it turned out great and I am very happy with the final product.

3/11/2009 - Stimulas Bill

Window replacement Spokane $1,500 tax credit
President Obama signs a huge stimulus bill that will award up to $1,500 for energy saving home improvements. Energy saving purchases include furnaces, new windows and doors, and insulation. This bill was expanded from a similar bill a couple of years back, but offers five times more relief to homeowners. Guidelines for recieving the tax credit make it clear that conserving energy is the #1 priority. New window replacement U-values and solar heat gain coefficient values will need to be almost 15% lower than existing energy star ratings. These strict parameters will force window manufacturers to develop better products for consumers. It will be up to contractors to ensure homeowners are purchasing qualifying windows in order to obtain this tax incentive. Homeowners should be very aware of these guidelines and make sure it is written in their contracts to avoid losing the tax credit. You can learn more details about this topic by going to www.simonton.com/taxcredit. This blog was brought to you by Cowboy & Indian Windows & Siding, Spokane, Wa.

2/4/2009 - Important Provision in U.S. Senate (Energy Tax Credit)

We have recently received an email from Alside Window Manufacturers concerning a provision in the economic stimulus bill that can have a positive impact in our industry. The bill just recently passed the U.S. House Of Representatives and is now in the hands of the U.S. Senate. The provision will increase the credit for energy-efficient home improvements (which include Energy-Star approved windows) from the current 10% of the total costs and $500.00 total cap for all qualified energy-efficient home improvements to 30% of the total costs and $1500.00 total cap.

We are very excited about this bill. We will be contacting our local senates office, extending and expanding the 25C tax credits for energy-efficient home improvements. Please feel free to visit the link below for further information.
